世界でカエルなどの両生類に壊滅的な被害を与えているカエル・ツボカビ症が日本にも上陸していたことが、明らかになった。

この病気は、真菌の一種で、耐性のないカエルなどに感染すると、その９０％が死ぬほど致死率が高いのが特徴。水を通じて感染するため感染力が強く、すでにオーストラリアや中米などで両生類が壊滅的な被害を受けている。

あー、これはやばいっすねぇ。 ただでさえ酸性雨やなんやでカエルはどんどん減ってるのに…。
